Gold Friedrich Wilhelm III (1770-1840) Medal
Commemorating his death in 1840; medal in solid Gold (22Kt.), weighs 69.3 grams. This medal was struck and issued in 1841, to Commemorate Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III. In total, 16,959 bronze medals, 3814 silver medals, and only 108 gold medals were awarded, mostly to the Army, and smaller number to the State officials. Gold medals were awarded to Generals, Royal Family and high State officials. Medal is in virtually mint condition, and very rare.
