1. A Life Saving Medal, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Paul Friedrich August in exceptional detail, circumscribed by a name and title, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing an impressed engraver’s mark of “BREHMER F.”, measuring 30.07 mm in diameter, weighing 10.2 grams, a rare impressed third variation in extremely fine condition.
2. A Firefighter Merit Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August in high relief, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IN DER FEUERWEHR” (“FOR MERIT IN THE FIRE BRIGADE”), unmarked, measuring 30.08 mm in diameter, weighing 12.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. A War Merit Medal, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile profile of Grand Duke Friedrich August, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM WELTKRIEGE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WORLD WAR”), the obverse engraver marked with the logo of Richard Knauer, measuring 27.92 mm (w) x 40.32 mm (h), weighing 16.3 grams, with minor oxidation evident, in near extremely fine condition.
4. A second War Merit Medal, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile profile of Grand Duke Friedrich August, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM WELTKRIEGE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WORLD WAR”), the obverse engraver marked with the logo of Richard Knauer, measuring 27.93 mm (w) x 40.16 mm (h), weighing 16.6 grams, with moderate oxidation evident, in very fine condition.

A War Merit Medal for Women, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile profile of Grand Duke Friedrich August, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM WELTKRIEGE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WORLD WAR”), the obverse engraver marked with the logo of Richard Knauer, measuring 28.00 mm (w) x 40.59 mm (h), weighing 20.0 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
