The Wehrpaß is dated to Bonn (western Germany) on March 11, 1940. It is a second type specimen. Measuring 105x146mm, better than fine condition with scuffing and creasing of the cover, some fraying of the spine, and several punched holes on the front cover as well as the back cover.
Footnote: Franz Theodor Glauner was born on March 29, 1904 in Mehlem (present-day part of Bonn). He worked as a gardener before volunteering for service in the Waffen-SS, for which he was accepted on April 5, 1940. Glauner was placed in the 5th Company of 12th SS Totenkopf Standarte in Litzmannstadt (present-day Łódź, central Poland) as part of the occupational forces. After a three week spell in the concentration camp of Oranienburg, he was placed in the 2nd concentration camp guard troop in Neuengamme (near Hamburg) in June of 1940. He was promoted to SS-Sturmmann on October 1, 1940, to SS-Rottenführer of the Reserve on July 1, 1942, and to SS-Unterscharführer of the Reserve on December 1, 1942. Glauner stayed in Neuengamme until July of 1944 when he was transferred to concentration camp Sachsenhausen (north of Berlin).
