Item: Substitute ID card German Labour Front, 12 x 9.1 cm; Date of item: 1938; Condition: excellent. A substitute ID card of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front) and the N.S. Gem. (National Socialist Collective) “Kraft durch Freude” (Strength through Joy) for one Karl Glödel (?), born May 12th, 1896. His regular ID book is owned by the administration site 1 Rüsselsheim. He works for the automobile manufacturer Opel, which operates out of the same city. Rüsselsheim is, at the time, part of the district of Hesse-Nassau, which is stated at the top of the card, but also as part of the stamp. The ID card states that Glödels dues for the German Labour Front will automatically be deducted from his salary. It is signed, stamped, and dated to Feb 21st, 1938.
