Instituted April 14 1994. In silver, a uniquely shaped award with a silver gilt stylized crown with seven spikes, below the crown sits a floral ornament in the form a stylized lily, on the upper right, there are five stylized folds in the shape of fingers holding the order, in the center of the lower section sits the coat of arms of the RBiH with two crossed swords below, the base of the arc is bordered by a serrated edge with beads between each teeth, the reverse of the award features a round disc bearing the geographical shape of the country with the inscription ORDEN R BiH 1994, marked S 990 and SF denoting manufacture by Softic, Sarajevo, the badge is surmounted by a triangular metal support in silver gilt with white and green enamel stripes, with a rosette in the alcove of the base, reverse of the suspension is hollow with a horizontal pin near the top, measures 46.4mm (w) x 88.35mm (h), weighs 32.5 grams, enamels intact, minor contact marks to edges, an exceptionally rare decoration, in extremely fine condition. Contained in a blue leatherette case with white silk interior lid and red velvet removable base, measures 125mm (w) x 170mm (l) x 37mm (d), minor wear, in extremely fine condition. Footnote: On April 14, 1994, with the decree with legal force on the decorations of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, established the Order of the Golden Coat of Arms with Swords. The Order of the Golden Coat of Arms with Swords is awarded to members of the armed forces of the R BiH who, in the fight against the enemy, performed acts in which their personal courage was strongly expressed, or who particularly stood out on the battlefield for their personal courage. This order can be awarded to citizens for such acts, as well as to citizens who, in extremely dangerous situations, while saving human lives or material goods, show extraordinary personal courage. The Order of the Golden coat of arms with swords was awarded to twenty members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, fourteen posthumously.
