In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Dannebrogordenen). Instituted in 1671. Hardcovered, with a brown exterior on the outside and reinforced by layers of card, the front cover featuring an illustration of the Order of the Elephant surrounding the Royal cypher, within an ornate rectangular frame, flanked by a trophy-of-arms on either side, inscribed "DANNEBROG RIDDER ORDENS" above and "STATUTER" below, within a second ornate rectangular frame, the back cover incorporating the same design but without the text, the inside covers with a red, cyan and deep yellow floral swirl design. It contains twenty-eight pages, the text printed in black ink and spread over the middle twenty-four pages, plus six pages that include line engravings, including: the lead page with the Royal Danish coat-of-arms under a tent and surmounted by a crown, with two cherubs above holding a ribbon banner inscribed "PIETATE ET JUSTITIA" (Loyalty and Right), with a stamp in blue ink marked "BIBLIOTHEK ERNST BLASS HAMBURG" and inscribed "Dannebrog KIdder Ordens Statuter." on the pedestal base; two on page 1, one of two women in Copenhagen flanking the crown cypher of King Christian V, the other of the lead letter framed by two cherubs holding a crown, with a orb and cross on the table behind them; page 8, illustrating the Grand Cross and the Breast Star of the Order; one full page one placed between pages 8 and 9, illustrating a standing King Christian V and wearing the Order on his right shoulder, with the artist's and engraver's signatures at the bottom; page 9, illustrating the Collar of the Order; and page 10, with two seals, one showing the coat-of-arms framed by the Collar, the other showing the Breast Star surmounted by the crowned cypher of King Christian V. There is also a signature in black ink at the lower right on page 19. The publication measures 220 mm (w) x 345 mm (h), with a hole punched through at the lower left, that passes through the pages and both covers, exhibiting extensive wear and soiling on the exterior, especially in the area overlying the spine and exposing the underlying layers of cardboard, along with light soiling evident in the pages flanking the covers. Poor.
Footnote: The Order of the Dannebrog was instituted on October 12, 1671 by King Christian V and awarded for special deeds or conspicuous service to Denmark, in six grades, plus a Silver Cross - renamed Cross of Honour of the Order of the Dannebrog (Dannebrogordenens Hæderstegn) in 1952.
