Each book begins with a Foreword, followed by an Introduction, along with sections labelled The Numbering System, Some Notes on the Numbering System, Uniforms and Accouterments, Cap Badges, The Manufacture of Die Struck Badges, Counterfeits and Copies, Cloth Shoulder Titles, Illustrations, along with a history of the regiment(s) featured. The books are brimming with descriptive, in-depth text, accompanied by photographs of the various cap badges, collar badges, shoulder titles, patches, pins, broaches, belt plates, etc. worn by the unit, be they in cloth or metal.
