A First War Bar comprising a 1914-15 Star (plated silver gilt, reverse impressed 42199 GNR. J. ROBERTS. CAN:FD:ART:), British War Medal (silver, rim impressed 42199 GNR. J. ROBERTS. C.F.A) and Victory Medal (plated bronze gilt, G42199 GNR. J. ROBERTS. C.F.A), the bar is swing mounted, light wear, extremely fine condition.

A Second War Bar comprising a 1939-1945 Star, Atlantic Star, Canada Overseas Service Bar with overseas clasp, and War Medal, the bar is swing mounted, the medals bear light wear, in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: James Roberts was born November 2, 1883 in Chester, England. Prior to serving, he was employed as a seaman in the Royal Navy for 8 years. He enlisted on September 25, 1914 and began serving with the 10th Battery, 3rd Brigade C.F.A. Throughout the war, he served in Canada, England, France and Siberia.
