1. Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, obverse shows seven marching figures representing men and women in service, with the inscription “1939 Canada 1945 Voluntary Service Volontaire”, reverse shows the coat of arms of Canada, on original striped ribbon with bar, evidence of some scratches, 46.7 mm (h) x 36.5 mm (w), very fine condition.
Footnote: The Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM) was instituted on 22 October 1943. It was granted to persons of any rank in the Naval, Military or Air Forces of Canada who voluntarily served on Active Service and honourably completed eighteen months total voluntary service from 3 September 1939 to 1 March 1947.
2. British War Medal 1914-1918, obverse shows King George V facing left, reverse shows Saint George naked on horseback and armed with a short sword, inclusive of bar suspension 50.5 mm (h) x 36.1 mm (w), on original striped ribbon, very fine condition.
Footnote: This campaign medal was instituted by the United Kingdom on 26 July 1919, for award to those who had rendered service between 5 August 1914, the day following the British declaration of war against the German Empire, and the armistice of 11 November 1918.
3. WW1 Canadian 151st Central Alberta Battalion Cap Badge, in copper, obverse and reverse show evidence of some oxidation, reverse pin fastener, 43.3 mm (h) x 41.2 mm (w), very fine condition.
4. 66th Battalion Edmonton Alberta Cap Badge, in copper, bent at the top, reverse shows evidence of oxidation, 39.7 mm (h) x 41.2 mm (w), very fine condition.
Footnote: The 66th Battalion was raised in and mobilized in Edmonton effective August 15th 1915. The battalion sailed for England April 28th 1916 where it was absorbed into the 9th Reserve Battalion. The 66th Battalion was disbanded under General Order 149, September 15th 1920.
5. Three Royal Canadian Air Force Pins, obverse shows emblem RCAF, reverse marked STERLING and extremely fine condition.
