In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Instituted April 1, 1896. In silver, full size, rim officially engraved in script “4323. Pte. W. Wakner. 2d Bn Orf Lt Infy” with TIRAH 1897-98 and PUNJAB FRONTIER 1897-98 clasps, obverse has been cleaned, notable edge bruises at obverse 7-8 o’clock, remains in very fine condition.
Footnote: The 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment, formerly the 9th (East Norfolk) Regiment of Foot, served on the turbulent North-West Frontier of India during the closing years of the 19th century. Stationed in the rugged hill country along the Afghan border, the battalion took part in punitive expeditions against rebellious tribes during the Tirah Campaign of 1897–98, one of the most arduous operations of its time. Fighting through steep mountain passes and hostile terrain, the Norfolks endured harsh conditions and constant skirmishing, earning clasps such as “Punjab Frontier 1897–98” and “Tirah 1897–98” on their India General Service Medal. Their service reflected the demanding nature of frontier warfare, requiring both endurance and adaptability in one of the British Empire’s most challenging postings.
