For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Instituted 1899. In silver, full size, rim officially impressed 8312 PTE A. ABBOTT. GREN:GDS:, with CAPE COLONY, ORANGE FREE STATE and BELFAST clasps, minor wear, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Private A. Abbott, of the 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards, is on the medal roll for the South Africa Medal for the Second Boer War.
The Grenadier Guards served with distinction in the Second Boer War (1899–1902) as part of the elite Guards Brigade. Landing in South Africa in 1900, they took part in the advance through the Orange Free State, the entry into Johannesburg and Pretoria, and fought in hard actions such as Diamond Hill and Belfast. In the later stages of the war, the battalions were employed in the mobile campaign against Boer commandos, guarding railways and blockhouses across the Transvaal. For their service, the Guardsmen were awarded the Queen’s South Africa Medal, usually with multiple clasps reflecting both major battles and regional operations, marking their role in one of Britain’s most demanding colonial wars.
