A Military Medal, in silver, rim has been re-engraved 4998 C. SMITH. H.L.I., edge has been shaved, in better than fine condition.
A 1914-15 First War Star, bronze gilt, reverse engraved 4998 C. SMITH H.L.I., light wear, very fine.
A Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed 4998 CPL. C. SMITH. HIGH. L. I., light wear, near extremely fine.
A Mercantile Marine War Medal, in bronze, rim engraved C. SMITH S.S. LETITIA, light wear, contact marks evident, very fine.
Footnote: London Gazette entry for a Private C. Smith of the Highland Light Infantry who was awarded the Military Medal for gallant and distinguished service in the field. The award was announced in the London Gazette Supplement No. 30743, dated 19th March 1918.
