United Kingdom. A 20th Century Commemorative Gibraltar Flag

A large black silk decorative hanging featuring the adhered bullion badge of the Gibraltar Royal Marines, featuring a globe surrounded by a wreath, surmounted by a crown and lion, measures 82.6 mm (w) x 121.9 mm (h), above the badge the title GIBRALTAR PRESENTS in yellow thread, four wool work embroidered flags (two French and two British) with a partial wreath below,  measuring 55 cm (w) x 45 cm, reverse plain, missing a second badge (glue residue present), edges fraying with several loose silk strands, light wear, badge is slowly peeling off the silk flag, otherwise in near very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Royal Marines have a deep, historic connection to Gibraltar, stemming from their crucial role in its capture in 1704 and subsequent defense, leading to "Gibraltar" being the sole battle honour on their colours and cap badge, symbolizing their global exploits.
