Medalla de oro o de primera clase Cruz de la Orden del Mérito de la Cruz Roja Española (Gold Medal  or First Class Cross of the Order of Merit of the Spanish Red Cross). In silver gilt with red, white, green, and black enamels with a hallmark on the suspension ring, consisting of a multi-rayed star with a central white enamelled ring inscribed “IN HOC SIGNO SALUS” in gilt lettering surrounding a red Geneva cross on a textured silver background, encircled by a green enamelled laurel wreath, the lower arm of the wreath set with a white enamel Maltese cross on a black enamel field, surmounted by an open-worked Spanish Royal Crown of the Alfonso XIII era, measures 71.2 mm (w) x 86.5 mm (h including crown suspension), on its original ribbon in red with broad white edge stripes, light contact marks and minor enamel wear, in extremely fine condition.
