Spain, Fascist State. An Agricultural Order Of Merit, Knight

(Orden al Mérito Agrícola). Instituted on December 1, 1905 by King Alfonso XIII. A Knight, in silver, presenting an eight armed star of green enamel rays, the obverse medallion presenting a woman plowing a field, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed MERITO AGRICOLA, again surrounded by a decorating ring of agricultural symbols with a Spanish crown at 12 o’clock and a coat of arms at 6 o’clock, the reverse is plain with two rivets, measures 56.5 mm (w) x 64.0 mm (h), weighs 42.11 grams, worn on original green ribbon with brooch style horizontal pin, enamels intact, 9 o’clock arm is slightly bent, very fine. 

Contained in a burgundy case with red silk and velvet interior, measures 83 mm (w) x 107 mm (h), 25 mm (d), exterior edges showing wear, functional hinge and clasp, interior silk has been separated from the edges, better than fine condition.
