A mixed lot of items from the estate of a Russian cadet in exile in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, including:
1. A Naval Cadet Corps belt buckle, constructed of brass, the reverse with a clip and dual loops, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating a possible period repair to one loop, in very fine condition.
2. A shoulder strap, constructed of a light grey cotton-blended cloth base, topped by silver wire and three red tresses, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 140 mm (l), demonstrating moderate soiling and material fatigue throughout, in addition to the loss of a button, in uniform-removed and very fine condition.
3. A uniform button, constructed of brass, the reverse retaining a lug, the reverse maker marked, measuring 22 mm in diameter, in very fine condition.
4. An unofficial arm insignia, constructed of brown wool with white machine embroidery, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), demonstrating some soiling, in very fine condition.
5. A group of 33 photographs, most presented in standard postcard size (9 cm x 13 cm) with a several smaller photos, depicting members of the Don Emperor Alexander III Cadet Corps in exile in Yugoslavia, with images of personnel in uniform while assembled for review, in barracks, and at leisure, with several taken at a memorial for Tsar Nicholas II, some with reverse handwritten inscriptions and dated to the early 1930s, a fascinating account of the Russian émigré community in Yugoslavia in extremely fine condition.
