(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap eagle, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining one of three attachment prongs, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 68 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
2. A second Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap eagle, constructed of silvered zink, the reverse retaining all four attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 68 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish, a wartime example in very fine condition.
3. An Ordnungspolizei EM/NCO’s cap insignia, constructed of dark blue rayon, the obverse bearing a blue machine-embroidered trapezoid, overlaid by a machine-embroidered silver-grey Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.
4. A 1936 Gau Bayerische Ostmark Assembly badge, constructed of porcelain, the reverse maker marked “HUTSCHENREUTHER, SELB”, measuring 44 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), missing its pinback, in very fine condition.
5. A 1938 Leipzig Day of German Law badge, constructed of grey bakelite, vertical pinback, the reverse maker marked “RICHARD SIEPER & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID”, with a Reichszeugmeiserei (RZM) logo and maker code of “M9/25” for the same manufacturer, measuring 38 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
6. A Badge of Honour of the Bavarian Warrior League, constructed of silver bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an elongated Cross Pattée, bearing a central lion clutching a shield overlaid by a Bavarian national emblem, situated within a blue enameled oval ring bearing a silvered inscription of “BAYERSICHER KRIEGERBUND - DEM VERIENST” (“BAVARIAN WARRIOR LEAGUE - TO MERIT”), the reverse with a vertical pinback, maker marked “DESCHLER & SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 42 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
7. A Rhine Province State Association badge, constructed of silvered bronze, vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
