(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap eagle, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 66 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
2. A Heer Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s cap insignia, constructed of feinzink and magnetic metal, perforated five holes for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 60 mm (l), demonstrating loss of finish and surface oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.
3. An NSDAP membership badge, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code of “76”, measuring 23 mm in diameter, demonstrating flecking and surface chipping to the enamels, in very fine condition.
4. A small medallion, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised profile of Ferdinand von Zeppelin, flanked by name, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZIEL ERKANNT - KRAFT GESPANNT!” (“DESTINATION KNOWN - POWER INTENSE!”), the reverse bearing a raised depiction of an airship flying against a Mainz skyline, circumscribed by an inscription indicating that the medallion was issued to commemorate the 1908 flight of LZ. 4, measuring 33 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
