(Drei Ehrenkreuze der Deutschen Mutter mit Etui). Instituted December 16th 1938. (1939-1945 issue). Three identical Honour Crosses of the German Mother, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross with its arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, bearing a central white enameled disc overlaid by a black swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “Der Deutschen Mutter” (To the German Mother) in capital lettering, the reverse bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 35.3 mm (w) x 42.0 mm (l) excluding the fixed loop, weighing 11.5 grams on average. Accompanied by three presentation cases, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt depiction of the decoration, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and white felt medal bed, all three by different makers (Karl Poellath, Franz Scheune, Werner Redo) in black print, measuring 52 mm (w) x 112 mm (l), the presentation boxes in very fine condition, with the Mother’s Crosses in mint condition.
