For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Ordnungspolizei Bajonett). Am Ordnungspolizei dress bayonet, measuring 48 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 33 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to the tip and lower edge. A wide fuller runs the majority of the length of the top edge of each side, while the obverse ricasso bears of maker’s mark of “F.W. HÖLLER, SOLINGEN”. A distinct code of “K” is stamped onto the spine The blade sits securely within a nickel silver hilt featuring a hooked quillon and pommel, the latter in the form of a stylized double-sided eagle’s head. An additional code is stamped onto the top of the crossguard, while an issue number of “288” is stamped onto the reverse. Two pieces of polished staghorn compose the handle grip and are fastened in place with dual aluminum rivets. Inset into the obverse of the handle is a silvered Ordnungspolizei insignia measuring 20 mm (w) x 20 mm (h). Accompanying the bayonet is a model-appropriate but replacement scabbard, constructed of a boiled and blackened leather shaft with a magnetic metal core. Nickel silver fixtures are secured to both the tip and throat, with the latter featuring a downward-pointing hook for the accommodation of a frog. A district code has been crossed-out, and is situated above an issue number of “570”. The throat retains a functional catch to firmly hold the bayonet in place during storage. Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include some running marks to the blade, scratching of the hilt and scabbard fixtures, and fatigue throughout the scabbard shaft with some warping of the leather. This mis-matched set remains in a very fine condition.
