(NSFK Plakette mit Etui und Urkunde). Constructed of coppered feinzink, the obverse consisting of a diamond overlaid by a depiction of Icarus emanating from a mobile swastika, flanked by initials “NSFK”, and overlaid by a banner bearing an engraved inscription of “REICHSWETTBEWERB FÜR MOTORFLUGMODELLE” (“NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MOTORIZED MODEL AIRCRAFT”), the reverse bearing an inscription of “MIT UNSEREM FÜHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGER WIR FÜR UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND” (colloquially translating to “IN LOCK STEP WITH OUR LEADER WE TAKE FLIGHT FOR OUR ETERNAL GERMANY”), as quoted from NSFK Korpsführer (Leader) Friedrich Christiansen, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a retractable white rayon lid liner, folding down to reveal an award document named to “MODELLBAUER M. KRICKE”, certified by the signature of Christiansen and issued from Berlin on 29 August 1937, with a fitted dark blue velvet medal bed, closing with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 115 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating moderate loss of finish to the plaque and the loss of functionality to the case’s catch, in near extremely fine condition.
