(Luftwaffe Verleihungsurkunden). A lot of award documents to eventual Stabsarzt Herbert Lax, including:
1. One for a Sudetenland Medal, named to Lax as an Unterarzt of Reserves, issued in Dresden on 26 August 1939, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major, measuring 21 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), demonstrating a folding crease, in near extremely fine condition.
2. One for a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, named to Lax as an Oberarzt of the Staff of Flak-Regiment 4, issued in Münster on 20 April 1941, certified by the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant August Schmidt (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 13 February 1945), measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. One for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, named to Lax as an Oberarzt of Flak-Regiment 14, issued at headquarters on 5 December 1941, certified by the handwritten signature of Generalmajor Karl Drum, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h) and accompanied by a Feldpost notice, in extremely fine condition.
4. One for an Eastern Front Medal, named to Lax as an Oberarzt of Flak-Regiment 14, dated 20 September 1942, certified by the handwritten signature of Oberst Claus-Peter Jebens (German Cross in Gold, 20 October 1942), measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h) and accompanied by a Feldpost notice, in extremely fine condition.
5. One for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, named to Lax as an Oberarzt of the Staff of Flak-Regiment 14, issued at headquarters on 27 October 1942, certified by the handwritten signature of Generaloberst Alfred Keller (Pour le Mérite, 4 December 1917; Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 24 June 1940), measuring 14 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h) and accompanied by a congratulatory letter from Oberst Rudolf von Minden, Commander of Flak-Regiment 18, the latter cut in half, in overall extremely fine condition.
6. A preliminary award notice for a Krim Shield, named to Lax as an Oberarzt of Flak-Regiment 14, issued from Heer (Army) headquarters on 20 March 1943 and certified by the stamped signature of Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein, measuring 21 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
7. A preliminary award notice for a Romanian Crusade Against Communism Medal, named to Lax as a Stabsarzt of Flak-Regiment 14, issued form headquarters and dated 5 June 1944, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), contained within an original envelope with accompanying document, demonstrating folding creases, in near extremely fine condition.
8. A DRL Sports Book, constructed of a card stock binding with 16 paginated interior pages featuring handwritten and stamped entries for Lax, retaining a certified black-and-white portrait of the bearer in a Luftwaffe Officer’s uniform, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
