Germany, Luftwaffe. A General’s Dagger Hanger

(Luftwaffe Gehänge für den Dolch der Generale). A Luftwaffe General’s dagger hanger, consisting of a functional gilded zink spring clip, with dual loops emanating from the lower edge, each accommodating a dark slate-grey wool strap, topped by a layer of dark slate-grey rayon threading, in turn trimmed with silver aluminum wire tresses, each adjusted with a functional gilded zink buckle bearing raised oak leaves, and culminating in a functional gilded zink spring clip to lock onto a corresponding scabbard’s loops, unmarked, measuring 28 cm in total length as presented, demonstrating loss of gilt throughout the metal fixtures and some fatigue to the straps, in better than very fine condition.
