Constructed of a pressed card stock frame with faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt inscription of “FLUGZEUGFÜHRERABZ.”, the interior with a blue rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 75 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue to the exterior and the outline of an accompanying badge to the interior, an early- to mid-war example in near extremely fine condition.
