(Ritterkreuzträger Fotos mit Unterschriften). A lot of four signed photos of Kriegsmarine Knight’s Cross recipients, including:
1. A wartime signed photo of Großadmiral Erich Raeder, consisting of a period reproduced portrait taken prior to his receipt of Knight’s Cross (bestowed 30 September 1939), situated above Raeder’s handwritten signature with a date of 7 September 1940, the reverse unmarked, measuring 10 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. A wartime signed photo of noted U-Boat engineer Kapitänleutnant Erich Otto Zürn, depicted in uniform with the Knight’s Cross (received 23 April 1941) and other awards clearly visible, the lower right corner of the image overlaid by Zürn’s handwritten signature situated above an partially legible date for the year 1944, the reverse in postcard format and bearing an additional handwritten inscription of “HEIL U. SIEG AN ALLEN FRONTEN!” (“HEIL AND VICTORY ON ALL FRONTS!”), measuring 8.5 cm (w) x 13.5 cm (h), a scarce example in extremely fine condition.
3. A wartime signed postcard of U-Boat ace Fregattenkapitän Heinrich Liebe, depicted in uniform with the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves (received 14 August 1940 and 10 June 1941, respectively) expertly inserted in to the image by the issuing studio, the lower left corner overlaid by Liebe’s handwritten signature, the reverse bearing a typewritten dedication from Liebe to a recipient in Landau, Westmark, postage stamped 23 October 1942 in Berlin, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. A small photo depicting U-Boat Ace Korvettenkapitän (upon conclusion of his Kriegsmarine service) Otto Schuhart, in uniform and with the Knight’s Cross (received 16 May 1940) and other awards clearly visible, the reverse bearing a signature and brief dedication from Schuhart in his capacity as commander of U-29, dated 1943, measuring 6 cm (w) x 9 cm (h), a wartime-signed private photo in extremely fine condition.
