(Kriegsmarine Ritterkreuzträger Fotos mit Unterschriften). A lot of four signed photos of Kriegsmarine Knight’s Cross recipients, including:
1. A wartime signed photo of U-Boat ace Korvettenkapitän Jost Metzler, depicted in uniform and with the Knight’s Cross (received 28 July 1941) and other awards clearly visible, the lower corner overlaid by Metzler’s handwritten signature in blue ink, the reverse in unused postcard format, measuring 10 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), the reverse bearing the remnants of card stock consistent with previous album display, in extremely fine condition.
2. A wartime signed photo of U-Boat ace Korvettenkapitän Helmut Rosenbaum, depicted in a close-up headshot with the Knight’s Cross (received 12 August 1942) expertly edited in to the image by the issuing studio, the lower right corner overlaid by Rosenbaum’s handwritten signature in blue ink, the reverse in unused postcard format, measuring 9 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), the reverse bearing the remnants of cardstock consistent with previous album display, in extremely fine condition.
3. A postwar signed photo of Großadmiral Karl Dönitz, depicted in uniform and with the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves (received 21 April 1940 and 6 April 1943, respectively) clearly visible, the lower edge overlaid by Dönitz’s handwritten signature in black ink, above a date of 2 June 1965, the reverse in unused postcard format, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. A postwar signed photo of Konteradmiral Werner Scheer, depicted in uniform, the reverse in postcard format and overlaid by Scheer’s handwritten signature, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 14.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
