(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of decorations, including:

1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop maker marked “KO” for a widely-documented but unidentified manufacturer, measuring 42.91 mm (w) x 48.06 mm (h), weighing 15.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. A 1914 Iron CrossI Class, constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, stamped with a silver content number of “800”, measuring 43.02 mm (w) x 43.24 mm (h), weighing 14.8 grams, demonstrating extensive oxidation to the core, in poor condition.

3. An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Non-Combatants, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon pinned with two combatant devices, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Reichsverband Pforzheim, measuring 38.25 mm (w) x 43. 21 mm (h), weighing 13.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.

4. A 1936 Berlin Olympics Commemorative Medallion in Bronze, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised female figure clutching an olive branch and laurel crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS” (“TO THE HONOUR OF THE FATHERLAND, TO THE GLORY OF SPORTS”), the reverse bearing a central raised bell overlaid by a German national eagle clutching Olympic rings, the rim of the bell bearing an inscription of “ICH RUFE DIE JUGEND DER WELT” (“I CALL THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD”), circumscribed by an inscription of “OLYMPISCHE SPIELE BERLIN MCMXXXVI” (“OLYMPIC GAMES BERLIN 1936”), unmarked, measuring 36 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
