Germany, Imperial. A Signed and Framed Portrait of General Ewald von Lochow, Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves

(Porträt mit Rahmen und Unterschrift). A signed and framed portrait of General der Infanterie Ewald von Lochow, depicted in uniform and wearing a Pickelhaube with a cloth covering, with the Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves (received 14 January 1915 and 13 November 1915, respectively) clearly visible, the lower half of the image overlaid by von Lochow’s handwritten signature in clear black ink, the image measuring 88 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), pasted to a card stock backer placed within a period frame, constructed  of gilded wood with a dimpled exterior and retaining an intact glass face, reverse retaining a thin wooden liner securely nailed in place along the edges and topped by a magnetic metal suspension loop, measuring 206 mm (w) x 275 mm (h) overall, with slight chipping evident to the fame, an excellent display piece in extremely fine condition.
