A First War medal bar comprising six decorations, measuring 156 mm (w), with a horizontal pinback on the reverse:
- 1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, without visible marks, measuring 42.7 mm (w) x 48.2 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
- An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked for Christian Lauer, Nurnberg, measuring 37.92 mm (w) x 43.00 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
- A 1914-1918 Bavarian Red Cross Commemorative Medal, in bronzed alloy, measuring 27.18 mm (w) x 37.68 mm (h); metal core (magnetic); horizontal pinback; red wool backer; measuring 123 mm (w) x 32 mm (h); in overall very fine condition.
- A Saxe-Coburg- Gotha, Duchy War Commemorative Cross, in bronze,consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing a central raised date of “1914”, topped by a crowned monogram of Duke Carl Eduard, situated above a laurel branch, the reverse bearing a central raised Saxe-Coburg and Gotha coat of arms, measures 29.6 mm (w) x 33.7 mm (h), light wear, very fine.
- A Prussian Red Cross Decoration, in silvered magnetic medal, featuring a cross with a crown at each tip, with the letters WRAV in each quadrant, the reverse with the inscription FUER VERDIENSTE UM DAS ROTHE KREUZ, measures 33.5 mm (w) x 36.7 mm (h), light wear, very fine.
- A Red Cross 20-Year Long Service cross; in blackened bronze and red enamels; the obverse consisting of a cross with rounded edges, with a central red cross, the reverse inscribed “Für 20 jährige Dienstzeit”, measuring 35.1 mm (w) x 38.9 mm (h), enamel crazing along the 9 o’clock arm, very fine.
