(Heer Tropenfeldbinde für Offiziere). A Heer Officer’s tropical belt and buckle, the former constructed of a light olive-drab webbed canvas, one end stitched with a reverse brown leather tongue perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, stamped with a maker’s mark of “G. REINHARDT, BERLIN” for the firm of Gustav Reinhardt, situated above a manufacture date of “1941”, with a size mark of “80”, the opposite end stitched into a loop for the accommodation of the buckle, constructed of olive-drab painted aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a clip and with a separate claw and loop affixed to the belt’s tongue, unmarked, the belt measuring 4.5 cm (w) x 88 cm (h), the buckle measuring 50 mm in diameter, with minor material fatigue visible to the belt and some loss of finish evident to high-contact points throughout the buckle, an early and matching Officer-grade tropical belt and buckle set likely worn by an Afrikakorps serviceman, in better than very fine condition.
