Description

(Infanterie-Regiment 15 Gedenkplatte in Silber). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval platter with raised and scalloped edges, bearing a central engraved Deutsche Jägerschaft insignia, situated above an inscription of “III. (JÄGER-) / INF. REGT. 15 (MOT), in turn above dates “12. 10. 37 - 31. 10. 39”, surrounded by the engraved facsimile signatures of presumed Non-Commissioned Officers, the base bearing a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “835”, and a hallmark, measuring 27.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), weighing 256.9 grams, demonstrating a moderate patina throughout, in near extremely fine condition.
