In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Bajonett). A well-preserved Feuerschutzpolizei NCO’s dress bayonet, measuring 40 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge, and which has a wide fuller that runs the majority of the length of the top edge of each side. The blade sits securely within a nickel-plated non-magnetic metal alloy hilt with a hooked quillon and pommel, and with a hollow insertion slot set into the latter retaining both a functional push-button spring release and original red wool insert. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip, and are fixed in place with dual magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft just below the throat for the accommodation of a frog. The former is included, and is constructed of multiple panels of blackened leather which are stitched into a loop for belt suspension. A functional spring catch situated within the throat firmly holds the bayonet in place during storage. Demonstrating only minor scratching to the base metal of both the bayonet and scabbard, as well as some fraying of the frog’s stitching (both consistent with age and light wear), the bayonet remains in an extremely fine condition.
