In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Schlesischer Adler II. Klasse mit Schwertern und Verwundetenabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle, executed in black enamels with features and details highlighted in silver, clutching a banner in its talons bearing an inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), overlaid across its chest with a Brustmond, notable inset in the centre with a crossed sword clasp and miniature Silver Grade Wound Badge, the reverse with four visible clips securing the obverse features in position, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of an “Ausführung 13” eagle as found in “Freikorps-Auszeichnungen” by Ingo Haarcke, 2019, page 37, measuring 32.31 mm (w) x 46.10 mm (h), weighing 17.6 grams, demonstrating minor flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and metal, respectively, an interesting example carefully modified by the recipient to reflect wounds received during Freikorps service in the Silesian Uprisings, in better than very fine condition.
