Description

(Deutsche Arbeitsfront Kreisfahne). Constructed of a red cotton twill base, bearing double-sided Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front/DAF) insignia consisting of a black mobile swastika situated within a cogwheel of identical colour, superimposed over a white base, the upper hoist edge featuring double-sided district marks consisting of brown wool bases overlaid by embroidered inscriptions of “BORSTEL 2” executed in off-white threading, trimmed with a blue rayon tresse border, the hoist edge featuring seven red cotton twill loops for suspension, with the three remaining edges stitched with twisted silver aluminum wire fringes, unmarked, measuring approximately 136 cm (w) x 113 mm (h), material fatigue is evident throughout and include consistent holes to the base material, in addition to moderate soiling and deterioration of the suspension loops and wire fringe, a period-displayed example in overall very fine condition.
