Bulgaria, Kingdom. An Order of Military Merit, I Class Star, c.1915

 (Орден за Военна Заслуга). Instituted May 18th, 1900. Of typical Austrian manufacture, a large eight point star, a four point silver base with clusters of smooth rays, with four silver gilt rays adhered to the silver base by rivets on the reverse, the obverse medallion features a red enamelled cross with swords piercing the center, the medallion features the monogram of its founder, Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, surrounded by a ring of green enamels inscribed “ЗА ВОЕННА ЗАСЛУГА”, the reverse presents a vertical pin, measures 93.5 mm (w) x 94.0 mm (h), weighs 95.61 grams, old repair to the 3 o’clock arm, small enamel cracks and chip in the green enamelled ring and and small fakes throughout the arms, in very fine condition.
