Yugoslavia, Kingdom. A Royal Air Force Officer’s Dagger, Model 1936, “Oficirska Zadruga, Beograd”

Nickel-plated hilt with broad propeller-form crossguard over a hub decorated as a turbine wheel, ribbed dark (black) grip bound with twisted wire and capped by a stylized pommel; bright double-edged stiletto blade etched on one face with the crowned Serbian/Yugoslav double-headed eagle with arms, the ricasso stamped in Cyrillic “ОФИЦИРСКА ЗАДРУГА” (Oficirska Zadruga—Belgrade officer’s cooperative retailer), overall approx. 33 cm with a blade length of about 21.5 cm; housed in the correct leather-covered metal scabbard with nickel-plated throat, middle band and drag, twin suspension rings, the throat applied with the crowned air-arm badge (traces of red enamel remaining). Light plating rubs and handling marks to hilt and scabbard fittings, blade with minor sharpening/cleaning marks but retaining a bright finish; a very good, complete example of the Royal Yugoslav Air Force officer’s dress dagger of the late 1930s.
