Yugoslavia. A Second War Army General Visor Cap

The exterior of the cap is constructed of navy blue wool featuring a traditional high peak crown with even golden piping running along the crown of the cap as well as the top edge of the cap visor. A Yugoslavian General insignia of a red star surrounded by a laurel wreath adorns the front of the cap. Each side of the cap has two gilt grommets in place, holderting the cap band of braided bullion across the front of the visor.  The interior is fully encompassed by a light gray satin liner, and surrounded by a wide gray leather sweatband. The visor measures approximately 60 mm (h) x 160 mm (w), the top of the cap measures 260 mm (h) x 245 mm (w). The interior size denotes 57. The interior shows some period wear, but is otherwise in an extremely fine condition.
