“For everyday” small version medal, consisting of ball-tipped enameled dark blue four-armed cross in bronze gilt, adorned by ornamental patterns in the quadrants, with obverse displaying Ukranian letter for YCC and the date 1914 in the tips of the cross, the reverse is plain, measuring 37.38 mm (w) x 39.70 mm (h - inclusive of the integral ring), suspended by replacement ribbon, presenting minor loss of gilt and light contact, a rare pieces in fine condition.
Footnote: The Cross of the Legion of Ukranian “Sich” Riflemen was established by the Central Executive of Ukranian Sich Riflemen in 1918 in Vienna, Austria. It was awarded to soldiers and members of the Legion. The Cross was authorized with two versions; one for everyday use, and other for parades with bigger dimensions.
