Ordin "Carol I". Instituted in 1906. Hardshelled, wooden-framed, red simulated cloth exterior, marked with a gilt cypher of King Michael I of Romania on the lid, maker marked "JOSEF RESCH FIUL BUCHAREST" on the padded white satin lining on the inside lid, raised platform with a recessed medal bed for the badge and a slotted medal bed for the breast star, dual latch closure, dual hinged, undulation along with soiling and wear evident in the red simulated cloth on the exterior, soiling present throughout on the interior, case fair.
Footnote: Michael I (October 25, 1921- December 5, 2017) was the last King of Romania, reigning from July 20, 1927 to June 8, 1930 and again from September 6, 1940 until his abdication on December 30, 1947.
