(Ordre de la Couronne de Chêne). Instituted in 1841. In Gold with green and white enamels, weighing 17.4 grams, export marked with the head of Mercury on both the ring and the loop, marked with the Bacqueville of Paris maker mark on the loop, measuring 47.5 mm (w) x 53.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, intact enamels, on its full-length original neck ribbon, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maroon dimpled exterior, inside lid in white satin, padded and maker marked "ANCⁿᵉˢ Mᵒⁿˢ HALLEY & LASNE / A. BACQUEVILLE / SUCCESSEUR / 5.Galerie Montpensier / PALAIS-ROYAL / PARIS", base with a recessed medal bed in violet felt, measuring 85.5 mm (w) x 124 m (h) x 29 mm (d), light overall wear evident on the exterior, case better than very fine.
