In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Queen’s South Africa Medal), A silver campaign medal, with a fixed swivelling straight suspension, the obverse bearing the left-facing crowned bust of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, the reverse depicting Britannia advancing with outstretched arm before marching troops, artillery, and naval vessels, with SOUTH AFRICA above, suspended from its original red ribbon with dark blue edge stripes and a broad orange central stripe, the edge officially impressed to NURSING SISTER M.T. NEVILLE, issued without clasps as appropriate to nursing personnel, showing light contact marks and surface wear consistent with period use.
Footnote: Nursing Sister M. T. Neville served as a military nurse with British forces during the Second Anglo-Boer War of 1899–1902. Her entitlement to the Queen’s South Africa Medal confirms qualifying service in the South African theatre as a non-combatant member of the British military medical services. Nursing Sisters were employed in army hospitals and medical establishments, providing professional care to sick and wounded soldiers during a conflict notable for high disease-related casualties. Individual service postings for Boer War nurses are often not recorded in surviving public records, with many appearing only in aggregate medal rolls.
