A General Assault Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a documented variant attributed to an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 43.06 mm (w) x 54.20 mm (h), weighing 29.5 grams, demonstrating loss of finish throughout, in very fine condition.
2. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic steel, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 36.72 mm (w) x 44.56 mm (h), weighing 12.9 grams, in near mint condition.
3. An SA Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a mobile swastika overlaid by a sword, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked “PETZ U. LORENZ, U. REICHENBACH”, measuring 44.37 mm (w) x 57.03 mm (h), weighing 18.0 grams, a Type III badge in extremely fine condition.
