Germany, DLV. A 1933 Saxony Air Show Vehicle Plaque, by Karl Wurster

(Deutscher Luftsportverband Plakette). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a red enameled shield, perforated at three corner with holes for rivet attachment, overload by a silvered insignia in the form of a laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a glider, surrounding a central German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika defaced by a date of “1933”, bearing Saxon coat of arms across its chest, the reverse maker marked “KARL WURSTER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 65 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), demonstrating some scratching to the enamels, in extremely fine condition.
