Description

(Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen Fahne). A National Socialist League of the Reich for Physical Exercise (NSRL) banner flag, constructed of a dyed red cotton twill base, bearing double-sided off-centre white discs with bars emanating from the top and bottom and connecting to the edges, each overlaid by NSRL insignia in the form of a black German national eagle overlaid by a white mobile swastika, the hoist edge reinforced with a layer of white cotton twill featuring a hollow channel which retains a suspension rope with one of two original magnetic metal clips, unmarked, measuring 144 cm (w) x 245 cm (l), demonstrating soiling and material fatigue throughout, a large example demonstrating signs of period use in very fine condition.
