Germany, Third Reich. A Large National Flag

(Fahne). A large national flag, constructed of two panels of heavy red cotton-blended cloth securely stitched together lengthwise, overlaid by double-sided white cotton-blended cloth discs measuring 140 cm in diameter, in turn bearing multi-piece black mobile swastikas, the hoist edge with a hollow channel through which is looped an original rope culminating at each end in a functional magnetic metal spring clip for suspension, with an additional eyelet set mid-way through the hoist edge featuring an additional clip, unmarked, measuring 180 cm (h) x 450 cm (l), demonstrating moderate soiling and material fatigue throughout, including some bleeding of the red dye into the disc resulting from display or storage conditions, in very fine condition.
