In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integrated flattened catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 47.47 mm (w) x 62.84 mm (h), weighing 16.4 grams, with loss of finish and minor oxidation evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
Footnote: According to Sascha Weber’s 2008 “The Infantry Assault Badges”, page 211, this variation was manufactured by the firm of Friedrich Linden, but likely purchased by Friedrich Orth to fill production gaps.
