(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of awards, including:

1. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENSTE 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.37 mm in diameter, weighing 12.9 grams, in near mint condition.

2. An Infantry Assault Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Sohni, Heubach & Co., Idar-Oberstein, measuring 47.28 mm (w) x 61.49 mm (h), weighing 29.9 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish and some bending of the catch, in better than very fine condition.

3. A Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from a period original replacement ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 42.35 mm (w) x 46.96 mm (h), weighing 21.4 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
