A Wehrmacht 4-Year Long Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse bearing a wreathed number “4”, unmarked, measuring 30.08 mm in diameter, weighing 13.9 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish, a non-magnetic variant in better than very fine condition.
2. A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double-sided oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top and bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE PROTECTION OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 32.84 mm (w) x 42.35 mm (h), weighing 16.5 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of beige paper stock, the exterior bearing a maker’s mark of “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), demonstrating some tarnishing, in overall better than very fine condition.
3. An Air Defence Honour Decoration, II Class, constructed of silvered feinzink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double-sided circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a central mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR DEFENCE”), the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1938”, unmarked, measuring 38.73 mm in diameter, weighing 26.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
4. An Italian-German African Campaign Medal, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original German-issue ribbon, the obverse bearing a depiction of two gladiators (symbolizing Italy and Germany) grappling with a crocodile (symbolizing Great Britain), the reverse bearing a central depiction of the Arco dei Fileni, flanked by a fasces and swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “ITALIAN-GERMAN AFRICAN CAMPAIGN IN AFRICA” in both Italian and German, the obverse maker marked “LORIOLI, MILANO”, measuring 30.84 mm (w) x 35.27 mm (h), weighing 12.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), demonstrating total loss of bronze finish to the base metal, in very fine condition.
