France, Second Restoration. An Order of the Legion of Honour, Knight

 Instituted May 19, 1802. Second Restoration (1816-1830). In silver, a white enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, wreath segments in oak and laurel leaves in each quadrant, the obverse medallion in Gold, featuring the portrait of Henri VI, surrounded by the blue enamel ring inscribed HENRY IV ROI DE FRANCE ET DE NAV., the reverse medallion, in Gold, featuring three fleur-de-lis, surrounded by a blue ring inscribed HONNEUR ET PATRIE, surmounting crown, measures 42.4 mm (w) x 67.6 mm (h), weighs 22.11 grams, marked with a boars head denoting silver and French manufacture post 1838, worn on replacement ribbon, demonstrating heavy enamel chips in the white enamel arms, medallions, and wreath segments, cross is connected to the crown via a thin metal wire hooked into over the arches, an aged piece in near very fine condition.
