In silver gilt and enamels, featuring a five point arm with a cluster of five smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion featuring a female bust, encircled by a blue ring inscribed REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE 1948, the reverse central medallion presents an open hand with sunburst pattern behind, encircled by a blue enamelled ring MERITE ARTISANAL LABEUR QUALITE, surmounted by a wreath suspension, measures 60.3 mm (w) x 85.5 mm (h), marked AB&Cie on the ring denoting Bertrand manufacture, also marked with a Boar’s head on the loop and integral suspension denoting silver fineness and french manufacture post 1838, worn on original neck ribbon, minor wear, extremely fine.
